(More customer reviews)I bought this because the price was nice, but I'm pretty happy with the product as well. The outside cover is rigid enough that it maintains it shape, and the zipper seems to be sturdy enough to last. I've only got about 30 discs in it right now, so it remains to be seen when I approach the maximum how well it will do.
This only annoyance I found is that the disc sleeves still have the plastic (perforated) where the disc goes in. Its easy enough to remove, but time consuming if you have many disc to insert.

(More customer reviews)I bought these for someone I know. I came across a lot of cases where the disc holders on both sides weren't centered & on the same imaginary horizontal line. Some of the other double cases just look weird. These particular ones are pretty good quality. The clear sleeves are a definite plus. I would definitely recommend these. They were an extremely close match to what the person I got them for wanted ideally. They're also priced pretty well from what I recall & if you're looking for a small handful of good double cases & not a hundred pack I would definitely consider buying these. No complaints whatsoever.

(More customer reviews)I've used Atlantic, I've used DiscSox. These are more expensive but are easier to manipulate when you want to get a movie out. They are also made out of archival materials so your print work should last longer. (I don't know if it's any better for the disc itself.) You can store movies or music in one-tenth of the space and that is what makes them worth the money. They sell things to store them in but they fit nicely into plastic containers made by Sterilite that you can buy at Walmart for a couple of dollars. Each container will hold about 75 movies. These really help if you have a large collection. The dividers and labels help keep track of everything however you decide to arrange or catagorize it. Both sleeves work, but these are worth the few extra dollars.

However the plastic of the case is on the thin side, making the case flexible and not too sturdy. The price is very good.

(More customer reviews)Finally, a CD case without the tacky zipper that goes all the way around! This one looks like nice enough to display in a bookcase or entertainment center. There are two different kinds of sleeves in it to hold both CDs and DVDs. I used the DVD sleeves to store CD booklets as well allowing me to throw away hundreds of jewel cases (of course, you will want to save some of the cases from your more cherished CDs). You won't believe how much room you save by doing this! Mine held about 80 CDs, but that included a lot of booklets, so just a couple more of these albums and my whole collection is tucked away in a fraction of the space it used to be in.

The down side (not too far down, however) is that I spent 1/2 hour picking off the plastic pieces that needed to be punched out of every sleeve which hold the disks. These are round dots like that which comes out of a paper punch. There are 4 on each sleeve. If you don't do this, you'll find them all over the floor when you handle them to put the disks into. Each sleeve has 2 sides, with a plastic piece that needs to be removed before you can put a disk into them
These disks/sleeves simply sit into the case and are flipped through like pages in a book on edge. White paper self-sticking labels are provided for each sleeve if you want to title them across the top of the sleeves. 3 plastic dividers are provided which can separate the disk groups in the case.
Aside from this hassle, the case is good.

Allsop Cupertino DVD Album 32 Review

(More customer reviews)When I opened the box, I did not find the item I expected, I expected this case to look more like a photo album bigger, taller. I apparently did not read the measurements of the Case. Much to my surprise, it is way better and much more sturdy. I bought 2 DVD albums, but I put CD's in them. My daughter's CD's(music, audio books,PC games)were taking up 13.5 inches on one of my brand new built-in bookcase shelves. In comes these nifty little cases (6.5 x 2.5)and Voila', now only 5 inches are occupied with her stuff. What is really neat and surprising is that the CD covers also fit in the sideway pockets, yes sideways, so the CD's can't fall out. Did I mention the hard, shiny(wipeable)magnetcally closing features?All are perks. This is definately a space-saving organizing tool. I am sure I will stock up on these for my use and for gift-giving.

Verbatim 95094 DVD or Blu-ray Tall Video Storage Case, Black, 50-Pack Review

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 boxes of these Verbatim DVD Video Trimcases (50pk, Black) - so, 100 DVD thin (trim) cases back in 2009, and they were OK. The other reviewer found many of them broke recently - but all of mine were OK when I got them. I will say, the Verbatims were much better than some bulk no-name cases that looked the same, but came in bulk from some other online source that I had also used 2 years ago. The Verbatim's clear plastic was better than the bulk no-named ones. But, 3 years ago I had found some of these cases from Memorex, and the Memorex ones were the best at that time. I can not find black Memorex thin DVD cases now, and I hated the no-named bulk ones, so the Verbatims were pretty good.
HOWEVER, I just got another 50 of these in December 2009, and wow, they are MUCH better than the prior ones, and they are even better than the Memorex ones I had years ago.
The DVD button that holds the DVD is nice. The clear plastic is really thick and study. This gives a great first impression. I'm ordering another 50 right now as they are now the best I've seen.
The unfortunate aspect of these, is that so far, I've not found a good total price for them. Most of the online places want about as much for shipping and handling as they do for the cases, and I've not found a place that will provide free shipping if I spend enough with them. Amazon, if you are reading this, please cut a deal with one of the suppliers for these. In 2010, as far as I have found, there is no better for large quantities of black thin (trim) DVD cases.

(More customer reviews)I'm giving these envelopes 3 stars because the end result was what I wanted but getting there was harder then I had wanted. The pictures of the envelopes is deceptive. The envelopes are EXACTLY the size of a DVD case(in a way). In the front is room for the paper insert from the DVD box, and then you put the DVD in the slot in the back. The problems I encountered with these envelopes is that they appear to be the same size BUT you have to cut down the paper insert (or fold it in half to fit it in. I choose to do some trimming of the insert. It took me forever to accomplish my project, but finish it I did. also, these envelopes come with binder holes, but it might be hard to find a mini binder to put them in. For now I have put mine in a basket which takes up 1/8 of the space that all the DVDs in the plastic boxes took up. I will say, I'm extremely happy with the end results. it took some work, but I have saved tons of space.

(More customer reviews)I have entire cabinets full of DVDs. They threaten to take over every bit of available space in the living room. I really wanted something that would allow me to reduce the bulkiness of the collection, while keeping it relatively easy to look through and find the movie I'm looking for.
I got this binder after reading reviews on a few different products because it seemed like this one was the one that best fits the DVD artwork and booklets. In practice, movies with thin paper cover artwork fit just fine, but heavier paper and the DVDs with cardboard covers instead of the plastic DVD cases have to be folded in the middle of the spine. Not a huge deal, but I know there are plenty of neat freaks like me who will have a fit at the thought of creasing the covers.
Something else that occurred to me as I started transferring my DVD collection to this case is that I have quite a few DVDs that are in unusual packaging that can't really be collapsed down to fit. This poses two problems: first, I'm still going to have a stack of DVDs to deal with because for one reason or another I can't part with the original packaging, and second, this tends to throw off any cataloging system you might implement. If you're looking through the folio at movies, you might not think about the movies that aren't in it.
The construction of this folio seems well done. My one complaint is that with the four sets of binder rings across the very wide spine, as you fill up the book the pages tend to not lay very flat. I'm not sure that there's much that can be done about it, but it might be problematic with a very full collection. The pages seem a little flimsy, but I haven't had any tears or rips, despite shoving some pretty tight cover art into the pockets. The layout with one artwork pocket and two disc pockets on each side of the page is nice, but most of my movies have only one disc, so on most pages there's an empty disc pocket. This means that ultimately, if I insist on keeping the artwork and discs together, I'll need two or three of these folders to house my entire collection. But that's fine, because just one of these folders takes up only about a third as much space as the movies in their DVD cases did.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for something to store my console games in and had trouble finding something that would also keep the book. This was a perfect solution.
The spine of the binder is metal (looks stainless) the sides are firm plastic so it will stand up on its own on a shelf. The back is clear acrylic with a magnetic latch. Each sheet in the binder has a place for a game manual or dvd book on the front of the sheet and the back of the sheet has two seperate places for a disk each. The sheets are made from that felt like material that you will find on many other binders so scratching the disk will not be a problem. Each binder hold 20 games/movies or 40 disks.

(More customer reviews)Looking for replacement DVD cases for those that you opened in anticipation, only to find the disc frolicking in the case and the teeth from the hub rattling around inside? You know the hubs I am talking about--the five-pointed serpents-head design, where anywhere from one to all five teeth have broken off. The design of the hubs on these replacement cases--three semi-circular tongues--is one that I have never experienced a problem with. What a relief. Now if only the DVD manufacturers would quit sending us that defective crap!
By the way, the seller I used was Square Deal Recordings & Supplies. I cannot say, of course, that the replacement cases from this or any other seller will be what I have described. I spent considerable time on the Internet researching the problem of broken teeth on DVD hubs, looking specifically for a discussion of hub designs, but I found very little. Until sellers of replacement cases directly market them as being one of the better designs--I have seen three: two good, one bad, none ugly--we buyers cannot be sure of what we are getting. (Non-awareness of the problem may account for the mixed reviews of this product.)
To Sellers: Here is a marketing opportunity just waiting for you. Surely I cannot be the only one frustrated by this problem. Educate us on the various hub designs of these 7mm double-DVD slimline cases, and reassure us that we are not just throwing good money after bad on the same cases that have caused us so much grief.

Large CD/DVD Binder Insert Pages Review

(More customer reviews)These are very well-made page inserts for the Handspring dvd binders. The pages are backed in soft material to keep the dvds clean and unscratched. The image they show here may be misleading: there is space for the dvd insert from the dvd case, but if you want to save the actual dvd covers, you have to cut them down to size or store them elsewhere.
If you don't want to keep the dvd covers, these are a great solution. Highly recommended!
