These work pretty well. Plastic is more brittle than most others. Not the highest quality but good for the price.

Memorex 32021980 DVD Storage Cases 10 Pack Review

Memorex 32021980 DVD Storage Cases 10 Pack
Average Reviews:

I own a great many pre-recorded DVDs and one thing I've learned above all else is that all DVD cases are not made the same. Some are very good, some mediocre, and some down right awful. Another issue that comes up is damage that can occur during the removal of those labels used to seal the actual disc inside the case, the one that warns potential thieves about the security device often enclosed within...especially annoying to me is when the adhesive from these labels remains on the case, rather than staying on the label once it is removed. By now you're probably thinking I'm of the retentive type, but I like to see myself as being particular (I know, I know, six of one, half dozen of the other), at least when it comes to certain things, like media storage...anyway, while looking into purchasing replacement DVD cases, I actually learned a few things...like the fact that DVDs, while similar to CDs, are, in fact, manufactured differently. It seems DVDs are actually two discs bonded together, and sometimes the process doesn't always bond the center hub of the DVD. This may not be a problem in and of itself, but if you were to use a CD case to store a DVD, the extra pressure required to remove the disc from a CD case could cause the hub to crack, and the loss of data could occur. I guess this is why most DVD cases I've seen have a simple push release mechanism that holds the disc in place.
When I bought these cases over other, similar bundled cases, I really didn't put a lot of thought into it, but ten cases for five bucks seemed like a pretty good deal, and Memorex was a brand name I recognized. The cases are very sturdy and snap closed together in a secure fashion. The hub/disc locking mechanism features three nodes with the push aspect attached to one node, and holds the disc in place with an authorative `snap'. When pushed, it affects said node to allow for release of the disc. Once the disc is in place, it sits within a circular protection zone on a slight, embedded lip, with the outer area featuring molded grooves to facilitate easy grasping of the edges of the disc. The inner cover of the case, opposite the disc area has two holders that allow printed material to be stored inside along with the disc. The outside of the case has a layer of transparent plastic, allowing for the insertion of printed material.
Inside one of the cases is included a bonus in that of a data disc featuring a Memorex software program titled exPressit, which provides disc labeling templates for just about every aspect you can imagine, and claims to work with both PC and Mac operating systems. Of course, for best results, the manufacturer recommends you use Memorex labels, but I'm sure they'd work with any labels available. All in all I'm very pleased with these replacement cases as they met my need, and I thought the price to be very reasonable.

25 x Slim Clear Double DVD Empty Replacement Boxes with Wrap Around Sleeve #DVBR07DOCL (7mm) (2DVD) Review

Looking for replacement DVD cases for those that you opened in anticipation, only to find the disc frolicking in the case and the teeth from the hub rattling around inside? You know the hubs I am talking about--the five-pointed serpents-head design, where anywhere from one to all five teeth have broken off. The design of the hubs on these replacement cases--three semi-circular tongues--is one that I have never experienced a problem with. What a relief. Now if only the DVD manufacturers would quit sending us that defective crap!
By the way, the seller I used was Square Deal Recordings & Supplies. I cannot say, of course, that the replacement cases from this or any other seller will be what I have described. I spent considerable time on the Internet researching the problem of broken teeth on DVD hubs, looking specifically for a discussion of hub designs, but I found very little. Until sellers of replacement cases directly market them as being one of the better designs--I have seen three: two good, one bad, none ugly--we buyers cannot be sure of what we are getting. (Non-awareness of the problem may account for the mixed reviews of this product.)
To Sellers: Here is a marketing opportunity just waiting for you. Surely I cannot be the only one frustrated by this problem. Educate us on the various hub designs of these 7mm double-DVD slimline cases, and reassure us that we are not just throwing good money after bad on the same cases that have caused us so much grief.

100 STANDARD Black Double DVD Cases Review

100 STANDARD Black Double DVD Cases

These CD/DVD cases are nice and thin, but they are a little fragile. When you open the case, it is possible to rip the case. (So the plastic "locks" work well -- maybe too well -- the case won't open on its own.)
Thin cases are nice because they do save on storage. For what I paid, it was about what I expected. I just have to be a little careful when opening the cases. I open them by placing my fingers by the "locks."

I ordered 2 of these boxes, and I really don't know what to think about someone who can't get them together easily. It took me less than 30 seconds to put them both together! my movies fit inside really well. I was very impressed with them. The only thing I am not crazy about it that you have to be careful putting the lids on because of the way the boxes are folded, but what do you expect? They are GREAT for only five dollars! I just put in an order for 2 more of them!

10 Empty Standard Red Replacement Boxes / Cases for HD-DVD Movies #DVBR12HD Review

10 Empty Standard Red Replacement Boxes / Cases for HD-DVD Movies #DVBR12HD
Average Reviews:

These cases are great to have if you plan to maintain a collector's library of our favorite defunct video format. They work perfectly well, but, be advised, they are not identical to original HD DVD packaging. The color is a little more orange than the originals and a little more square (boxy) as well.
That being said, it's nice to have an option to replace worn or cracked cases with a reasonable facsimile of factory packaging. Most people probably would never notice the subtle differences.
Buy these cases and keep you collection looking great !

The cases I received look extremely worn and used - scratches all over and worn out finish (looks like they came from a movie rental store). Also the picture shows a bluray logo on the top, but the ones I received do not have any logo. Quality overall is decent, but a notch below the store bought stuff.

Vact 7mm Slim DVD Cases 100-pack Review

Vact 7mm Slim DVD Cases 100-pack

The product is what you pay for. The cases are functionable. They are very bendable and break easily. When I recieved them, they came in a very nice box. When I unpacked the box and took the cases out there were several of them that were cracked and had pieces broken off. The plastic covering on the outside of the case to put your cover under, are thin and dent/rip easily. I can't complain for the price though. They are a good deal!

Out of the 100 DVD cases I received, I'd say nearly half of them were broken or unusable. I'm very disappointed. I see that I'm not the only one to complain about this so I'm guessing this wasn't a fluke.

Memorex 2-Disc DVD Movie Cases (10-Pack) Review

Memorex 2-Disc DVD Movie Cases (10-Pack)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These cases are much like the standard ones which you get when you buy most pre-recorded DVD's. They are very durable and designed to hold two discs, a real advantage for saving space. But sometimes the DVD's will come loose inside even when the discs appeared to be "locked" securely in place. I have also had this problem with many other cases provided with most DVD's which I think are of decent quality. The discs will snap in place and they usually will remain in place, but not always.I would recommend these Memorex cases over many others, however, since they are larger and may offer more protection than the clear slim ones, which don't have much material surrounding the disc.
