In combining our DVD collections- my BF and I realized we had way too many- to fit in the closet designated for te movie colle tion-- once we got rid of the duplicate- this sheets (added to the big books) save us! We were ae to sort by genre and fit all of our movies on 2 shelves-rather than losing an entire closet to a DVD collection! A friend referred me to these a nd said "this is the ONLY way to go if you have that many DVDs" she was right!

Case Logic DMM-120 Koskin CD/DVD 120 Capacity Wallet (Tan) Review

Case Logic DMM-120 Koskin CD/DVD 120 Capacity Wallet (Tan)

Finally, a CD case without the tacky zipper that goes all the way around! This one looks like nice enough to display in a bookcase or entertainment center. There are two different kinds of sleeves in it to hold both CDs and DVDs. I used the DVD sleeves to store CD booklets as well allowing me to throw away hundreds of jewel cases (of course, you will want to save some of the cases from your more cherished CDs). You won't believe how much room you save by doing this! Mine held about 80 CDs, but that included a lot of booklets, so just a couple more of these albums and my whole collection is tucked away in a fraction of the space it used to be in.

Allsop Cupertino DVD Album 32 Review

When I opened the box, I did not find the item I expected, I expected this case to look more like a photo album bigger, taller. I apparently did not read the measurements of the Case. Much to my surprise, it is way better and much more sturdy. I bought 2 DVD albums, but I put CD's in them. My daughter's CD's(music, audio books,PC games)were taking up 13.5 inches on one of my brand new built-in bookcase shelves. In comes these nifty little cases (6.5 x 2.5)and Voila', now only 5 inches are occupied with her stuff. What is really neat and surprising is that the CD covers also fit in the sideway pockets, yes sideways, so the CD's can't fall out. Did I mention the hard, shiny(wipeable)magnetcally closing features? All are perks. This is definately a space-saving organizing tool. I am sure I will stock up on these for my use and for gift-giving.

CCS25502 - DVD Storage Sleeves, Half Sheet, Header Label, 20/PK, Black Review

I'm giving these envelopes 3 stars because the end result was what I wanted but getting there was harder then I had wanted. The pictures of the envelopes is deceptive. The envelopes are EXACTLY the size of a DVD case(in a way). In the front is room for the paper insert from the DVD box, and then you put the DVD in the slot in the back. The problems I encountered with these envelopes is that they appear to be the same size BUT you have to cut down the paper insert (or fold it in half to fit it in. I choose to do some trimming of the insert. It took me forever to accomplish my project, but finish it I did. also, these envelopes come with binder holes, but it might be hard to find a mini binder to put them in. For now I have put mine in a basket which takes up 1/8 of the space that all the DVDs in the plastic boxes took up. I will say, I'm extremely happy with the end results. it took some work, but I have saved tons of space.

Artisan 240 Disc Black Faux Leather DVD Album with 120 Liner Notes & Title Cover Page Capacity Using Metal Ring Binder Review

Artisan 240 Disc Black Faux Leather DVD Album with 120 Liner Notes and Title Cover Page Capacity Using Metal Ring Binder

I have entire cabinets full of DVDs. They threaten to take over every bit of available space in the living room. I really wanted something that would allow me to reduce the bulkiness of the collection, while keeping it relatively easy to look through and find the movie I'm looking for.
I got this binder after reading reviews on a few different products because it seemed like this one was the one that best fits the DVD artwork and booklets. In practice, movies with thin paper cover artwork fit just fine, but heavier paper and the DVDs with cardboard covers instead of the plastic DVD cases have to be folded in the middle of the spine. Not a huge deal, but I know there are plenty of neat freaks like me who will have a fit at the thought of creasing the covers.
Something else that occurred to me as I started transferring my DVD collection to this case is that I have quite a few DVDs that are in unusual packaging that can't really be collapsed down to fit. This poses two problems: first, I'm still going to have a stack of DVDs to deal with because for one reason or another I can't part with the original packaging, and second, this tends to throw off any cataloging system you might implement. If you're looking through the folio at movies, you might not think about the movies that aren't in it.
The construction of this folio seems well done. My one complaint is that with the four sets of binder rings across the very wide spine, as you fill up the book the pages tend to not lay very flat. I'm not sure that there's much that can be done about it, but it might be problematic with a very full collection. The pages seem a little flimsy, but I haven't had any tears or rips, despite shoving some pretty tight cover art into the pockets. The layout with one artwork pocket and two disc pockets on each side of the page is nice, but most of my movies have only one disc, so on most pages there's an empty disc pocket. This means that ultimately, if I insist on keeping the artwork and discs together, I'll need two or three of these folders to house my entire collection. But that's fine, because just one of these folders takes up only about a third as much space as the movies in their DVD cases did.

Artisan Red Croc 240 Disc DVD Organizer Album with 120 Liner Notes or Title Cover Page Capacity Using Metal Ring Binder Review

Artisan Red Croc 240 Disc DVD Organizer Album with 120 Liner Notes or Title Cover Page Capacity Using Metal Ring Binder

There are 4 one-inch 3-ring binder clasps side by side inside the folder. That's right 4 right next to each other. That's very tricky to re-arrange the sleeves in when it's out of order. I don't know who came up with this system but I had to use another 3-ring binder to hold half of the sleeves. That's why I took off one star.
I still use the binder but there's no way I can squeeze in 240 without going crazy with the sleeves falling out of the binder clasps. Despite my troubles with this binder I would choose this particular design over the other CD/DVD strap-binders on the market (like Case Logic styles). The strap binders requires specially punched sleeves and it can't ever be used in a 3-ring binder. Plus I read reviews of people having trouble with the locking and unlocking the straps.
As for the sleeves, I love them! They are fantastic sleeves and fits into a large 3-ring CD binder I purchased from Target. Purchasing this product has helped me get rid of all my DVD jewel cases and split my entire collection into two large binders. I love it!

Case Logic DVB-200 200 CD/DVD and 92 Liner Note Capacity (Black) Review

Case Logic DVB-200 200 CD/DVD and 92 Liner Note Capacity (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Case Logic DVD binders (also called "wallets") will not hold 200 separate movies -- it can hold 200 separate DISKS. This is important to note because many people are confused by this difference. Look at the number of liner notes it will hold -- that is the number of clear-view pockets you'll have available, one per movie. For example, this model will hold 92 individual movie "sets", meaning each movie will have it's own clear-view pocket and sleeves for storing the disks.
So where does the number 200 come from? There are two disk sleeves for each clear-view pocket (92 clear-view pockets x 2 disk sleeves per pocket brings the running total of available storage up to 184). This arrangement means that you'll either have an empty sleeve for movies with only one disk. And this will probably be the case for most of your movies. But this extra sleeve will come in handy if any of your movies have a separate special-feature disk or are in two parts (like the Lord of The Rings extended editions, which are on 2 disks each). With this system you can store those disks in the extra sleeve.
An additional non-removable disk-only storage area (with 16 slots) is located in the front of the binder, bringing the total disk storage capacity to 200. So this binder really will hold 200 disks -- or you can use it as a movie library, in which case it will hold 92 individual movie sets plus 16 disks in the additional storage area (useful for storing homemade DVDs and other disks that don't come with artwork).
***HERE'S A TIP: I noticed that a few people complained about not being able to browse their movies very easily because the disks are hidden inside their sleeves and often times movies don't come with liner notes for the clear-view pocket. A little creativity can solve this problem and turn these binders into a fantastic movie library.
Instead of leaving the clear-view pocket empty or just putting the liner notes in it, put the movie cover art in there. Remove the wrap-around cover art from the case -- it's really easy to remove if you open the DVD case flat -- just reach in and pull out the paper cover art. Fold it in half and stick it in the clear-view pocket of the binder. If there are liner notes (some DVDs don't have them) we just put them behind the movie cover art.
Now put the matching DVD in the sleeve behind it and repeat this for all your movies. That's it! You've just created a visually appealing, easy-to-browse movie library. You can flip through the binder and look at the full-color covers of all the DVDs you have, similar to looking at DVDs in a video store.
This also solves another dilemma: Even after they place their movies into a binder, some people keep all the empty plastic DVD cases because they want to save them for the coverart. Instead, just use the coverart in your binder's clear-view pocket and you can get rid of those empty plastic cases for good.
***HINT: If you have a DVD case with cardboard artwork that does double-duty as the case cover, just remove the cardboard piece from the plastic frame and separating the front cover art from the back cover art but cutting it in half. You might need to trim them a little, but both pieces will now fit in the clear pocket.
This DVD storage system is much better than storing plastic DVD cases on the shelf or in a drawer because you can only see the DVD's side, which is a slim edge that just contains the movie's title. It's much easier and more fun to browse movies when you can look at the cover, which often has a picture of the actors and other information. When we have friends and family come over for movie nights they think it's really neat to look through our binders.
These binders fit neatly on a bookshelf or they can be stored file-folder style in a drawer near your entertainment system.
***SAVE MONEY: Case Logic makes additional storage pages (refill packs) so you can to keep adding to your binder. However, it's usually cheaper to just purchase a new binder when your collect grows. For example, this 200 capacity binder is generally available for less than $35 and it has room for 92 movie sets. The most popular refill pack generally costs $12 and only has room for 10 movie sets. I'd have to buy over $100 in refill packs to get the same amount of storage that this $35 dollar binder can provide.
***ORGANIZING: For heavy collectors and those with a growing collection, don't try to alphabetize your DVDs -- this will get tiresome and difficult. Instead, just add movies to the binder as you get them and start a computer database of where each one is located, for example "Mission Impossible III -- Binder A -- Pocket 35". You can use Excel or Google Spreadsheet to create a quick & easy list that can be sorted by title or binder collection. This way you don't need to worry about trying to place them in the binder in alphabetical order. You can print out the list for each binder as it gets full and place it inside the binder for quick reference when you just want to browse, but you'll also have the interactive list on your computer in case you want to find a particular movie really fast.
