The DVD of Gustave Flaubert's classic novel Madame Bovary is GREAT for classroom use while studying the novel, especially in AP English Literature Classes. Students can witness the culture, fashion, and psychological processes of 19th Century France, so that the novel becomes more vivid in their minds. The concept of starting the film with the trial of Flaubert for creating the novel is also a poignant teacher tool. I am using the film and the poster in my classroom this month!
