(More customer reviews)Some time ago I got a reproduction of the famous "Rosie The Riveter" poster at an art show, so I did some research on it and found this one as well. One day I found that all the old WWII posters are available on Amazon, including those from other countries, like the now-famous "Keep Calm And Carry On" from Britain. I wanted this one to put up near my sewing area, I figured it was appropriate. It's a nice size and looks good in a frame.
Today we call them "motivational posters," but back in the day they were called "propaganda." Do a search for the slogan and you'll find out more information. Other posters urged Americans to plant "victory gardens" (the late actor Henry Fonda was famous for his) as well as to do other things that would contribute to the war effort, such as making clothes last longer to avoid buying or making more. Today such messages pass along on social media, but back in the day, this is what they had, and it worked for everyone.
Keep Calm And Carry On!
