(More customer reviews)I switched to DVDs in what? 1998? 1999? One MAJOR thing I really miss about VHS is their beautiful box cover art. The art just seems more detailed, interesting, and definitely scarier, IMO, especially if you love horror movies. I wish that the people who remake the DVD cover art would just use the original cover design from the VHS version. I don't know why they even change it at all. If the art needs some tweaking or enhancing, then that's what Photoshop is for, right...?
I bought this poster because it was one of my favorite VHS horror cover art pieces of all time. I might have to start continue collecting my favorites before they decide to get rid of them all. Make a separate 'movie lover's dream room' or something. Look at this VHS cover poster compared to its DVD cover. The cover art on the DVD is just plain... BLAH compared!! I really miss going to the video store, and seeing these beautifully-detailed, but also terrifying posters taped to all the windows (I was so young back then), and all over the store with the same exact image on the tape you rented. It was one of my favorite things to do when the family was off to Blockbuster. Just stare at all the movie posters in awe....AAAaahhhhh... LOL.
I was so glad to see that this VHS box cover poster was still in print! I used to stare at it forever, it was so fascinating and scary at the same time. Like I said, I was just a kid, so the horror movie section was always, always the funnest section of the video store to run around and explore (for me, at least, lol). God, I miss those days... *sigh* Anyways, YES!! This poster is AMAZING!! I LOVE IT!!
