I saw in first in postcard form at the Philips collection in Washington DC and bought and kept it for all the years of graduate school, propped up against my bedside lamp. The painting of the bed and chair so echoed my own simple room, but somehow illuminated, an essence of the peace and comfort of the bedchamber. I now have a larger version in my lovely guest bedroom and the colors of room and art are complementary and glow together. But I miss that litte postcard that offered a place to go at night at the end of my long day.
