(More customer reviews)Nice to see something out there proving "About Face" existed. People need to see this movie (and a couple others) if, for no other reason, than it is proof that Jerry Lewis stole his most famous doofy movie persona from Joel Grey, who plays Bender in this military college confection. Grey, of course, got his rewards, winning an Oscar many years later in "Cabaret." I think you could probably go so far as to say that the Radar O'Reilly character played by Gary Burghoff in MASH also is a riff on Grey in "About Face." These are secret histories of character development, and if you don't believe it, ask Jerry and Gary yourselves. Both still alive as of this writing.
