As to the physical characteristics of this poster, it appears well printed and the framing is most acceptable. The picture is protected by a plastic sheet - not glass. If you are ordering an 11" x 17" framed poster, these will appear "small" once you get them and see them up against, say, a 27" x 40" poster. I'd recommend cutting out an 11" x 17" sheet and taping it up first where you are planning on putting your poster. You may want to consider a larger poster if there's too much vacant space left around your stand-in sheet? Just a thought.
This particular poster is one that heralds back to the earlier days of SciFi movies and therefore, represents a benchmark of quality many modern SciFi movies don't seem to comprehend, let alone equal. Back in the day, SciFi movies were but a means of getting ordinary minds to ponder extra-ordinary elements of the unknown? As I recall, The Day The Earth Stood Still certainly created quite a stir. Many people found it's theme very thought provoking. Consequently, The Day The Earth Stood Still is a poster that I'm proud to display in my home.
