(More customer reviews)I saw this in a colleagues office and fell in love with it. I showed the thumb to a discriminating friend and she just said "wow." Art should be more than just a pretty or even interesting picture. It should say something about the owner. I love to travel, and this seems to capture the essence of a temporary way station where random strangers mill and kill time with one common bond: transience and change. It also documents the nostalgic period of America's industrial rise. The beams of light are beautiful, but also symbolic. The powerful business man, the couple running away, the returning veteran, the pickpockets, the visiting aunt, whatever their motivation or station in life, they all have to share a train. They are all illuminated by the same sun.
The product: the paper is quite thin, hence four stars. I've seen other reviews saying the poster is a little blurry, but that's the original, I think. The reproduction is fine.
Arrived quickly, in a sturdy tube. Looks great after framing.
